Someone who uses Finocket has invited you to their workspace. The link in the email opens a page that names the business, who invited you and the role they chose. You join from that page, in one of three ways, and land straight in their books.
The email address is fixed
An invitation is matched to the address it was sent to, so the page shows that address and does not let you change it. An account under any other address cannot join, however you sign in.
Three ways to join
- Create a password. Type it twice; the eye button shows what you typed. Then tap Join. We email you a code - type it on the same page and you are in. If the code does not arrive, Resend becomes available after a minute.
- Google, Microsoft or Apple. Pick the account whose email is the invited address. If it is a different email, the page says so, joins nothing, and offers to sign you out so you can try again. Apple’s “Hide my email” gives a different address, so choose “Share my email” or use a password instead.
- Sign in instead. If the address already has a Finocket account, sign in with its password and you join in the same step. Your own workspace, if you have one, stays separate.
The link in the email
The confirmation email may also carry a link. Opening it in the same browser joins you too. If you open it in a different browser or on another device, your address is confirmed there but that browser cannot finish signing you in: come back to the invitation and use Sign in instead with the password you chose.
After you join
You land in the workspace that invited you, not an empty one of your own. If you belong to more than one, the account menu lists them all. The owner explains what each role can do in Team & roles.
