Is my outreach compliant?

Every message — 1:1, campaign, sequence step or AI-drafted reply, over email, WhatsApp or SMS — passes through one chokepoint that checks consent, the suppression list and jurisdiction rules per recipient at the moment of sending; a blocked send is logged with the reason AND keeps the exact copy that would have gone out, so it's auditable rather than swallowed, and campaigns show you sent vs blocked counts. Opt-out identifiers are normalised at the boundary, so an unsubscribe recorded in one phone-number format still blocks a send addressed in another. Sequences stop automatically when someone unsubscribes, and the database itself prevents a retried step from sending twice. One-click unsubscribe, an append-only consent ledger, data-subject export/delete/do-not-sell, and India rule packs are built in.

Can I make a QR code that turns scans into leads?

Yes. Create a dynamic, trackable QR code that encodes a short redirect: print it once and repoint it to a new destination any time without reprinting — the printed code never deactivates. Every scan is counted and broken down by device and by day, and when a scan leads to a form submission the lead is attributed back to that code and its campaign, right inside your CRM. Can I send outreach on my own WhatsApp, SMS or email account?

Yes. Connect your own provider keys — Email (Resend and ZeptoMail today, with SES and SendGrid coming), WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API or 360dialog) and SMS (MSG91, Fast2SMS, Twilio or Plivo) — and campaigns go out on your own accounts and billing. Keys are stored encrypted per company or per user and never shown again, India DLT registration and WhatsApp template approval are checked before anything sends, and the same chokepoint still decides what's allowed to leave — consent and the suppression list are re-checked per recipient at the moment of sending. Set no key and Finocket's included sending is used, exactly as before — bring-your-own only changes the transport.

Can I hand my CA my books?

Yes — a practice cockpit. One grid ranks every client you're a member of by what needs attention this morning, with a per-client health score and real GST filing chips, and one tap switches you into that client's own workspace. A cross-client calendar merges each client's GST, TDS and ITR dates into one agenda with weekend and festival file-early hints and an .ics export. Bulk actions let you review once and act across many clients — reminders, or a reconciliation-prep pack per client — with each client's consent re-checked before dispatch and one signed action written into THAT client's own activity log, so your bulk action is never invisible to the business owner. Everything is derived when you open it; nothing is a stored score. Reconciliation prep is an export, not a filing — Finocket never files to the GSTN.

Can I scan a receipt to add an expense?

Is there an API, and can AI read my books?

Yes to both. There's a versioned, scoped REST API covering clients, invoices, payments, expenses, items, stock, orders, financial-statement reports, companies and the full CRM, plus signed outbound webhooks. And an MCP endpoint lets an AI agent — Claude, ChatGPT or your own tools — actually work your books: ask 'what's my GST this month?' or 'who owes me the most?' and it answers from your live data, inside the company you point it at. It's all multi-company aware (an X-Company-Id header picks the company) and guarded by row-level security.

Can I use my own AI keys?

Yes. Add your own Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google AI key — at the company level so everyone shares it, or as a personal key just for you — and Finocket's AI features use it instead of the included AI. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again, and a Usage & activity screen shows exactly what your team's AI costs, broken down by person and feature. Set no key and the included AI is used: it's free but metered — 50 assistant messages a day, 100 document scans and 60 voice notes a month across the workspace. Your own key removes those caps and unlocks the larger model.

What stops the AI doing something expensive and wrong in my books?

Four things you can check. First, you see the money before it moves: every proposed action shows how much moves, out of which bucket, how many people it reaches and whether it's undoable — and the same classification writes the audit row, so the confirm card and the log can't disagree. Second, you set the ceiling: an autonomy dial with a rupee limit and a limit on how many people one action may reach (guided starts at ₹1,00,000 and 200 recipients), routed on impact rather than on the model's confidence — and no setting removes the human confirm. Third, everything the AI does lands in an append-only log the database chains with a server-computed SHA-256 hash, so an altered row breaks the chain and a recompute finds it. Fourth, a journal it posted can be reversed after the fact from that log — a linked compensating entry, not a deletion, the way an accountant accepts. Payments, expenses and invoices are undone on their own screens; a message already sent is honestly marked not reversible.

Does it invent numbers?

It's built so it can't state one. Every finished sentence the assistant writes about your figures is checked against the numbers it was actually handed, and one that states a figure it can't cite is DROPPED, not hedged — including mid-answer in chat. The same guard runs on the report summary, the insight digest, the outreach draft, the WhatsApp reply and the GST-notice draft, because it's the same code. Two honest limits: it governs what the assistant says to you, so the free text inside an action it proposes is still yours to read before you confirm; and the anomaly detection, the working-capital report and the next-best offers deliberately use no AI at all — they're arithmetic, so there's nothing there to hallucinate.

Can I set Finocket up by talking to it?

Yes — a guided setup runs as a conversation, in any of the five languages the screens are translated into, and the classic six-step form stays as the fallback and the destination of every degrade path. Nothing about your workspace changes until you tap Apply: mid-conversation the only thing written is your own session, so abandoning it leaves everything byte-identical. What you SAID and what it INFERRED are kept apart — an inference is shown with its evidence and starts unticked, so it isn't applied unless you tick it, and a legal election like your GST scheme is refused outright from an inference. Applying takes an undo snapshot. Tell it your line of business and it suggests a matching kit; kits only ever turn modules ON, because the apply step has no way to express turning one off.

What happens if I get a GST notice?

Record it in a notice register exactly as it arrived — every field entered by you, never inferred, because a notice fact the app made up would end up quoted back at a tax officer. Then build a reply whose every figure resolves from a frozen pack of your own rows; the reply is structurally incapable of holding a number that isn't cited. It cannot claim to be complete while a rupee is still unexplained — the database enforces that — and once you approve it, the evidence, the document and their hash are frozen, so different copy can't be swapped in behind the approval. Finocket does not file it and does not send it: you or your CA submit it. It also won't guess your reply deadline — the statutory windows aren't verified, so it shows none rather than a wrong one.

Can Finocket help with my personal income tax?

It can show you the working, not tell you what to do. Both regimes are computed side by side on the figures you entered, showing which is cheaper on those figures — there is deliberately no recommendation anywhere in the result, because electing a regime is your decision with your CA, and an assessment year whose rates a human hasn't verified against the statute is refused rather than estimated. There's also an ITR working sheet organised by head of income where every figure points at the row it came from, with unanswerable conditions left visibly blank and exports watermarked NOT A RETURN. It will not name your ITR form and no code path in it can — the eligibility tests depend on facts Finocket doesn't hold, and a wrong form makes a return defective. Your rent, insurance and home-loan answers sit in a table scoped to your login alone, with no path for a teammate to read them. Finocket does not file your return.

Do I have to drop Tally or leave my CA?

No — that's the point. Finocket is the phone-native daily driver; your CA keeps working the way they do. Export any date range as a single Tally-Prime XML — your ledgers, parties and vouchers — and hand it over instead of a backup file over AnyDesk, or invite your accountant as a read-only member.

Can I bring my masters and opening balances over from Tally?

Yes. Point the migration wizard at your Tally export and it brings across your ledgers, parties, items and opening balances. Your file is parsed IN YOUR BROWSER — it is never uploaded, never stored and never sent to a model; only a fingerprint of it and the plan it produced are saved. Past vouchers are deliberately not replayed: re-posting them would re-recognise revenue your opening capital already embeds and contradict returns you've already filed, so the wizard counts them and tells you it's leaving them. Nothing is ever plugged — if the trial balance doesn't foot, it names the exact difference and refuses rather than inventing a suspense entry. A name that already exists is skipped, never merged; the same file can't be imported twice; and anything an undo can't reverse (a ledger that already has postings, a client that already has invoices) is named on screen BEFORE you commit.

Can I track inventory and manufacturing?

Yes. Turn on stock tracking for any product and Finocket keeps a live stock ledger with weighted-average cost — sales draw it down automatically, low-stock items flag before you run out, and per-product and total stock value stay current. Track batches with expiry dates and near-expiry alerts, store stock across multiple godowns with transfers, raise sales and purchase orders, and define a bill of materials with production runs. For items that need it, opt in to FIFO cost layers or per-unit serial tracking (weighted-average stays the default); add landed costs like freight and duty onto a purchase bill; compare vendor quotes on an RFQ before you raise a PO; and route a bill of materials through named work centers with labour costing. A routed BoM can then run as a work order — tick off each step as it's finished, watch work-in-progress value build on the balance sheet, and release it to zero when the order completes — with a minutes-per-day capacity per work centre and the coming week's load charted, over-capacity days flagged. Multi-level MRP netting (demand + stock in, net make-or-buy planned orders out) runs over the REST API and MCP rather than an in-app planner; there's no master production schedule and no shop-floor terminal. Closing Stock and COGS fold into your balance sheet and P&L. It's inventory as finance — no e-commerce platform or storefront lock-in.

Record a customs bill of entry and its eligible IGST lands on the GSTR-3B 4(A)(1) import line; distribute common input-service credit across your GSTINs with an ISD register and a balanced reclass journal (a single-company aggregate move — the per-branch detail lives in the register, not posted into each recipient GSTIN's own books); run the department's own DRC-01B/DRC-01C checks on your own figures before a notice arrives (a self-check on your numbers, not a portal filing); and roll a consolidated GSTR-1/3B across every GSTIN you keep. Finocket generates portal-ready files — you or your CA upload them; it never files to GSTN for you.
