Finocket ships improvements almost every week. The highlights of each release are below, newest first — signed-in users also get the full timeline with filters under Profile → What’s New.
A shop counter that rings up sales, a forecast of where your cash is heading, and matching what you ordered to what you were billed
Today turns Finocket into a fuller back office. There's a new Point of sale screen: open a register with a cash float, ring up a counter sale by searching an item or scanning its barcode, take cash or UPI, and the sale is saved as a proper invoice that draws down your stock and posts to your books on its own — then close the register by counting the drawer and Finocket tells you if you're over or short. A new Cash-flow forecast shows where your cash balance is heading over the coming weeks or months, built from what customers owe you and the bills you owe at their due dates, with best/base/worst cases to stress-test it. And a new 3-way match workbench lines up, purchase order by purchase order, what you ordered against what actually arrived and what you were billed — flagging short deliveries, over-billing and price differences, and letting you record a goods receipt on the spot. Underneath, a lot more of the enterprise back office is now reachable from the API and your AI assistant: an employee directory so claims and payroll attach to a person, posting a payroll run as one balanced journal, moving stock between locations and cycle-counting it, a make-vs-buy materials plan, Income-Tax block-of-assets depreciation, and slicing your profit-and-loss by project, department or fund.
- New Point of sale: open a cash register, scan or search items into a cart, take cash or UPI, and every sale becomes an invoice that moves your stock and posts to your books — then close the drawer with an automatic over/short count.
- Run multiple POS terminals, each with its own UPI ID and its own invoice numbering: a UPI sale shows the customer a QR that already carries the amount, you confirm once it's paid, and only the business owner can add or switch a terminal's UPI ID.
- New Cash-flow forecast (under Reports): see your projected closing cash week by week or month by month from money due in and out, with best/base/worst scenarios and a clear chart.
- New 3-way match (under Books): pick a purchase order and see ordered vs received vs billed line by line, with mismatches flagged — and record a goods receipt right there.
- Keep an employee directory and post a whole payroll run as one balanced journal so salary cost shows in your P&L — through the API or your AI assistant.
- More warehouse and planning depth via the API and your AI assistant: stock transfers between locations, cycle counts, a make-vs-buy materials plan, block-of-assets depreciation, and a P&L sliced by project, department or fund.
Partner tax paperwork, the marketing funnel that proves payback, and capturing a lead by voice
Today ties off the partner and marketing chain with the pieces you hand to other people. From Commission statements you can now download ready-to-hand-off tax working sheets for your partners — a TDS 194H sheet and a per-partner RCTI for the money payable now, and a 1099-NEC sheet for the calendar year — each carrying your business as the issuer and every partner's tax details, computed straight from your commission ledger so your accountant just files. A new Marketing funnel report shows, campaign by campaign, how many QR scans turned into leads, deals and won revenue, so you can finally see which spend paid back. You can capture a lead by voice — record or upload a voice note and Finocket writes it down and pulls out the name, phone and email, never inventing a number it didn't hear. And a new Connections health screen quietly checks that your records join up end to end — every lead has a source and a way to reach it, every deal a customer, and every captured lead makes it into your pipeline — and flags anything that slipped through.
- The Help centre became a book: chapters down the side, search, previous/next reading order, an on-page outline — and What's New is public again, with a dot that tells you when something new shipped.
- Download partner tax paperwork from Commission statements: a TDS 194H working sheet and a per-partner RCTI for the amount payable now, and a 1099-NEC sheet for the calendar year — each with your business as the issuer and the partner's tax details, computed from your ledger for your accountant to file.
- New Marketing funnel report: per campaign, see QR scans become leads, deals and won revenue — so you can tell which campaign actually paid back.
- Capture a lead by voice — record or upload a voice note and Finocket transcribes it and fills in the name, phone and email for you, without ever inventing a detail it didn't hear.
- New Connections health screen checks your records join up end to end — every lead has a source and a way to reach it, every deal a customer, and every captured lead reaches your pipeline — and flags anything that fell through the cracks.
- New Accounts screen: contacts and deals from the same company are grouped under one account automatically (from their business email), with a single view of that company's people, deals and history.
- New Inbox: every inbound WhatsApp message, call (including missed calls) and inbound email or SMS lands in one place, newest first — each one also captured as a lead so nothing goes unanswered.
The CRM chain, connected end-to-end: leads → pipeline → invoices → the right GST → split commissions
Five CRM-to-books connections land today. First: when a lead comes in through a public form, a QR code or a booking page, Finocket now automatically opens a deal for them in your pipeline's first stage — so stages, rotting alerts and next-action reminders reach every lead from the moment they arrive, not only the ones you build a deal for by hand. Second: you can now raise an invoice straight from a deal — a new 'Invoice' button pre-fills the customer and links the invoice back to the deal, so each deal shows its own invoices instead of only the customer's overall balance. Third: every captured lead now remembers where it came from — the form, QR code, partner referral link or UTM campaign — and a new 'Leads by source' report groups your leads by source and landing page and shows how many convert. Fourth: invoices now put GST on the right heads automatically — for a GST-registered customer Finocket reads their GSTIN and charges CGST + SGST within your state, IGST across state lines, and zero-rates exports, so you stop having to remember the split. Fifth: a single client can now be shared between several partners — set each partner's share of the commission, and every payout splits by that share at each partner's own rate. On by default, and it never opens the same person twice.
- Leads captured from a public form, a QR code or a booking page now automatically become a deal in your pipeline's first stage — so follow-up reminders and stale-deal alerts work on every lead, not just the ones you add by hand. On by default; turn it off anytime from the CRM screen.
- Raise an invoice straight from a deal — the new 'Invoice' button pre-fills the customer and links the invoice back to the deal, so each deal now shows its own invoices instead of only the customer's overall balance.
- Every lead now remembers where it came from — website form, QR code, partner referral or UTM campaign — and the new 'Leads by source' report shows which sources and landing pages bring you leads, and how many convert.
- Invoices now split GST correctly on their own: for a GST-registered customer Finocket reads their GSTIN and charges CGST + SGST for a sale within your state, IGST across state lines, and no tax on exports — with a badge that tells you which applies and why. You can still override any line by hand.
- Share a client between partners: on the client screen, set each partner's percentage of the commission — every payout then splits by those shares, each at that partner's own program rate. A single-partner client is unchanged.
The Automation module — approvals, workflow rules, dunning — plus fixed assets, deferrals, recurring journals and bill-wise references; accountant-grade depth (multi-company consolidation, foreign-currency revaluation, deeper GST, credit cards, bank rules, receipt scan, progress invoicing); inventory, portals & reporting (serials/FIFO, landed costs, reorder & RFQ, work centers, a public catalog, customer & vendor portals, UPI pay-now, scheduled report emails, an un-gated report builder and a live dashboard); and projects & platform — rate cards, a field-service dispatch board, an integration catalog and consent-checked campaign segments
A new Automation module (turn it on from Settings → Modules) brings three things. Approvals: require sign-off before an invoice, expense, payment or purchase order is finalized — set rules by amount and approver, and every held record waits in one queue with a full who-decided-what history; a held record can never post to your books until it's approved, from any screen or the API. Workflow rules: when something happens in your books — an invoice is raised, a payment lands, a bill is added, an invoice falls overdue — run the actions you choose, once and only once, with every run logged. And a ready-made dunning ladder: staged reminders on overdue invoices (a gentle nudge at 3 days, a firmer one at 7, a final notice at 14) that stop the moment the invoice is paid and always respect the client's consent and quiet hours. Alongside it, four accountant-grade books tools land: a fixed-asset register with automatic straight-line or reducing-balance depreciation that posts as balanced vouchers (and books gain or loss on disposal); deferred revenue and expense that spread an invoice or bill across months and recognise it correctly; recurring journal templates that post themselves on a schedule; and Tally-style bill-wise New/Against Reference, so a single receipt can be split across specific invoices. It's all in the API too.
- Approvals: require sign-off before an invoice, expense, payment or purchase order is finalized — rules by amount and approver, one pending queue, and a held record can never reach your books until it's approved.
- Workflow rules: pick an event (invoice raised, payment received, bill added, invoice overdue) and the actions to run — each rule fires once per event with every run logged, so nothing double-sends.
- A ready-made dunning ladder chases overdue invoices for you — a nudge at 3 days, firmer at 7, a final notice at 14 — stopping when the invoice is paid and honouring each client's consent and quiet hours.
- Fixed-asset register: track assets and let Finocket compute straight-line or reducing-balance depreciation and post it as balanced vouchers each period, with gain or loss booked automatically on disposal.
- Deferred revenue and expense: spread an invoice or bill over the months it really covers and recognise it evenly — the total is recognised once, never doubled.
- Recurring journals post themselves on your schedule, and Tally-style bill-wise New/Against Reference lets one receipt settle several specific invoices — with per-bill outstanding tracked everywhere.
- Split any invoice or expense across several cost centres by percentage — every cost-centre report shows the true split, and the totals still tie to your books to the paisa.
- See a consolidated Trial Balance, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet across all your companies at once, with a column for each — and run the same view across your GSTINs for GST.
- Revalue open foreign-currency invoices and bills at the period-end rate: Finocket works out the unrealised gain or loss and posts it as a balanced entry you can reverse.
- Deeper GST: record customs bills of entry so import IGST flows into your GSTR-3B, distribute common input-service credit across your GSTINs (ISD), and self-check GSTR-1 vs 3B and 2B vs 3B for mismatches before a notice would. GSTINs are now validated as you type, everywhere.
- Track credit-card accounts — import a card statement, match spends to expenses, and record the bill payoff as a transfer that never double-counts — and let bank rules suggest a match or category as you reconcile (you always tap to accept).
- Snap a photo of a receipt to prefill an expense, and bill a project or retainer in stages that can never exceed the agreed total — with a choice of invoice PDF layouts that still show your custom fields.
- Value stock your way: switch any item to FIFO cost layers or keep weighted-average, track units by serial number, and add freight or duty as a landed cost that raises what your stock is really worth.
- Restock faster: low-stock items become a one-tap draft purchase order grouped by your preferred vendor, and a request-for-quote board lets you compare vendor prices and turn the winner into a PO.
- Publish a branded, link-shareable catalog of your items, give customers a portal to see statements and accept or decline estimates, give vendors a portal to view their POs and upload their invoice, and put a UPI pay-now link and QR on invoices.
- Email any report to yourself or your CA on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule; build your own reports over invoices, expenses, payments, clients and items — free for everyone — and pin them as live number, table or chart widgets on a dashboard.
- Bill time at the right rate automatically: set rate cards by client, project or team member and Finocket picks the most specific one for each time entry — you can still override any line.
- Plan your field days on a dispatch board — assign visits to team members, schedule and order the route, and tap each through its status from your phone; teammates only touch their own lane.
- See every connectable integration in one catalog with its real status, and save reusable audience segments for campaigns — segments only choose who's in the audience; consent still decides every send.
- New step-by-step guides in the Help centre for fixed assets, deferrals, foreign-currency revaluation, bill-wise references, rate cards, custom fields, the report builder and dashboard widgets — and a side-by-side Finocket vs Odoo comparison to see where each fits.
Five new CA-grade reports, the Indian-compliance close-out (TCS · 27Q · composition · IMS), locked books, post-dated cheques — and the Tally handover is CA-proofed
The report shelf grows by five: Receipts & Payments (the classic cash statement), Funds Flow (sources vs applications with the working-capital change), Exception Reports (everything that looks wrong in your books on one screen), an HSN Summary (the GSTR-1 Table 12 view) and a Sales & Purchase Analysis with customer, item, supplier and monthly slices. Every one exports to CSV and lives in Reports → All. The statutory gaps close too: if you collect TCS on receipts you can now record it and download a CA-ready 27EQ workbook, payments to non-residents route into a Form 27Q workbook, composition dealers get CMP-08 and GSTR-4 downloads, and the GSTR-2B screen records accept/reject/pending actions per supplier invoice the way the portal's Invoice Management System expects. The books gain real financial controls: owners can lock the books through a date (nothing on or before it can be changed, on any device), post-dated cheques get a full pending→deposited→cleared/bounced register, and one dialog turns overdue interest into a posted Debit Note voucher. On big screens the app also no longer squeezes everything into a narrow centre column: lists and reports stretch across the full width, while entry forms and settings keep a comfortable reading width — and on wide monitors they gain a new right-hand panel with your latest entries, one-tap shortcuts and a practical tip for the screen you're on. The Tally export is rebuilt around how a CA actually imports: two files named in import order, a plain-English pre-import checklist inside the download, bill-wise party ledgers, fuller GST details on every sales voucher, and a safety net for receipts that settle invoices from before the period. And bank reconciliation now speaks your bank's language: statement imports from eleven Indian banks are recognised automatically — headers, date styles and all — including SBI's Excel-style download. Rounding out the day, the custom-fields workstream lands in full: your own fields on invoices, expenses, items, payments, clients and deals — 15 types with validation and PDF/portal switches — now also flow through the API, land as columns in the new invoice and client CSV exports, and can be shown on the lists themselves. No caps, on every plan.
- Collect TCS on receipts? Flip one switch in your TDS profile, record the TCS on any payment, and download a CA-ready Form 27EQ workbook per quarter.
- Paying a non-resident? Mark the payee non-resident on the expense and the withholding files into a Form 27Q workbook instead of 26Q — country of residence included.
- Composition dealers get their returns: CMP-08 per quarter and the annual GSTR-4, computed from your invoices and expenses at your configured levy rate.
- The GSTR-2B screen now records IMS actions — accept, reject or pending per supplier invoice — with an eligible-ITC summary, a deemed-acceptance warning and a CSV for your CA.
- Owners can lock the books through a date: nothing dated on or before it can be added, edited or deleted, from any device or app — the database itself refuses.
- Post-dated cheques are first-class: save a Cheque receipt as post-dated and walk it through pending → deposited → cleared or bounced in the new PDC register.
- Turn overdue interest into money: one dialog computes a client's interest at your rate and grace days, then posts it as a Debit Note voucher with an Interest Income ledger created for you.
- Five new reports: Receipts & Payments, Funds Flow, Exception Reports, HSN Summary and Sales & Purchase Analysis — all with CSV export, all in Reports → All.
- Exception Reports gathers negative balances, long-overdue bills, cancelled invoices, unadjusted advances and drifting invoice statuses on one screen, each row linking to the record to fix.
- On desktop, pages now use the full width of your screen instead of a narrow centre column.
- Entry forms — payment, expense, journal voucher, invoice, client, visit and more — keep a comfortable width, and wide screens gain a right-hand panel of tools beside the form.
- The side panel shows your last five payments, expenses, invoices or vouchers — tap one to jump straight to it.
- The Tally download now ships as two files named in import order — masters first, then vouchers — plus a read-me-first checklist your CA works through before importing.
- Receipts that settle an invoice from before the export period are posted on-account instead of against a missing bill, and the export tells you how many.
- Press Alt+G anywhere to jump around, exactly like Tally's Go To — it opens the same palette as Ctrl+K.
- Import bank statements straight from HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, PNB, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First, Yes Bank, IndusInd and Canara — we recognise each bank's format automatically, including SBI's Excel-style export.
- Add your own fields to invoices, expenses, items, payments, clients and deals — 15 field types, validation, show-on-PDF and portal switches, API access. No caps, on every plan.
- Fine-tune what each team member can see and edit: expand a member on the Team page and flip View/Edit switches per area — invoices, GST, banking, inventory, CRM and more — with one tap to reset them to their role's standard access and an option to apply the change across all your companies. Areas you switch off disappear from that member's menu, and create buttons hide where they can't edit.
- Outstanding and receivables ageing now show what's still owed after part-payments: a partly-paid invoice ages at its remaining balance instead of its full value, so your receivables total ties to reality.
- The Balance Sheet — on the Books hub and behind the financial ratios — now always includes your opening and prior-year balances whatever date range you're viewing, so Total Assets and every ratio read true; profitability ratios use the selected period's earnings.
- Suggested TDS follows the current rules more closely: the 194O e-commerce rate is 0.1%, 194C drops to 1% for individuals and HUFs, and a missing PAN raises the rate under section 206AA.
- Invoice discounts now reduce the GST taxable value the way the law expects: on a discounted invoice the tax is charged on the amount after discount, split correctly across lines, so the tax total and every GST return (GSTR-1, 3B, 9 and the HSN summary) report the right taxable value.
- GSTR-1 now reports mixed-rate invoices correctly — one line per tax rate in each section instead of lumping the whole invoice at its highest rate — and carries cess through, so the taxable values and tax reconcile with the HSN summary.
- Marketplace orders now decide CGST/SGST versus IGST reliably: buyer states written as a code, a GST number or a full name are all matched, and an order whose state can't be recognised is flagged for you to check instead of being guessed.
- Budget totals no longer double-count: the footer sums a single level (your overall budget when you have one) instead of adding overall, per-account and per-category targets together, and you now see a subtotal for each level.
- Current and quick ratios now count only current assets and liabilities — a fixed asset or a term loan no longer makes your liquidity look healthier than it is.
- Foreign-currency amounts now convert to your home currency the same way on every screen — dashboard, receivables, payables ageing and the statement of account all agree, even for an invoice you set a rate for after it was issued.
- TDS return downloads now split challans correctly: Form 26Q lists only your resident-payee challans and Form 27Q only your non-resident (section 195) ones, so each form's challan total ties to its own deductees.
Your full chart of accounts, ledgers, journal vouchers, live e-invoicing — and the TDS you deduct, handled
Three big accounting upgrades in one go. Books → Ledgers & Groups now shows your complete chart of accounts as a collapsible tree — every group with debit/credit totals, every account with its closing balance — and you can add your own accounts, sub-groups and opening balances right there. Tap any account (or any line on the Trial Balance, Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet) to open its full ledger: opening balance, every entry with a running balance, and a tap through to the exact invoice, payment, expense or voucher behind it. And the journal entry screen is here — balanced debit/credit vouchers (journal, payment, receipt or contra) with as many lines as you need, straight onto your books. Press J from anywhere to start one. Plus a whole new TDS centre for the tax YOU deduct when paying vendors: record it on the expense, track every challan deposit per quarter, and hand your CA a ready 26Q workbook with Form 16A working copies. And e-invoicing goes live: connect your GSP once, then generate the IRN on any B2B invoice in one tap — the government-signed QR code lands on the PDF automatically, a new register tracks every invoice's IRN status, and the e-way bill comes from the same screen.
- Live e-invoicing: connect your GSP once, then generate the IRN on any B2B invoice in one tap — the signed QR code prints on the PDF automatically.
- A new e-invoice register tracks every B2B invoice's IRN — pending, generated, cancelled or failed — with one-tap retries and a warning before the 30-day reporting window closes.
- Ledgers & Groups: browse your whole chart of accounts as a collapsible tree with group totals and per-account closing balances, and search by name or code.
- Add your own accounts and sub-groups — codes are suggested automatically, opening balances go in as debit or credit, and built-in accounts stay protected.
- Every account now has a full ledger view: opening balance, each entry with a running balance, and one tap through to the document behind it.
- Journal vouchers have arrived: multi-line debit/credit entries with journal, payment, receipt and contra types — the Save button unlocks only when the voucher balances.
- Press J anywhere to start a journal voucher, and drill from any Trial Balance, P&L or Balance Sheet line straight into that account's ledger.
- Tally mode now looks like Tally: two-sided Balance Sheet and P&L, a grouped Trial Balance, a dense Day Book, a function-key bar on every books report, and Alt+F1 to flip detailed/condensed.
- New TDS centre: record the TDS you deduct paying vendors, watch deducted-vs-deposited per quarter, and download a CA-ready 26Q workbook plus Form 16A working copies.

A sidebar that fits YOUR business, invoices from your tracked hours, and invoices on autopilot
Your menu now shows only the modules you actually use — everything else waits in a colourful Explore panel at the bottom, one tap from being switched on. Billable hours from the timer can become a draft invoice in one step, and recurring rules can now draft an invoice for you on schedule — with the next number in your series — ready to review and send. Purchase-side GSTR-2B matching now appears in the report library. Plus the mobile polish from today: the app opens straight to sign-in or your dashboard, every screen fits your phone's width, and the header stays clear of the status bar.
- Your sidebar shows only the tools you use — the rest live in a colourful Explore panel at the bottom, ready to switch on with one tap.
- Turn tracked billable hours into a draft invoice: pick the entries, choose detailed or summary lines, done — hours can never be billed twice.
- Recurring invoices: set a rule once and Finocket drafts the invoice each cycle with your series numbering, then nudges you to review and send.
- The help centre grew to 53 plain-English guides — with journey steps and FAQs — and the ? button now has tailored help on 112 screens.
- Two new free tools: a GST late-fee calculator and a commission TDS calculator (updated to the current 2% rate under 194H).
Push notifications, and your offline work is safer than ever
Finocket can now send you notifications even when the app is closed. Turn them on from Profile → Notifications and you'll get a nudge when an invoice is due or overdue, when a payment comes in, and a short morning summary of what's outstanding — with a simple set of switches so you only get the ones you want. Install Finocket to your home screen to get them on your phone. Separately, the work you do offline is now stored more durably: Finocket asks your device to keep your queued changes and cached pages safe from being cleared when storage runs low, and a new panel under Profile → Offline sync shows how much space you're using and whether your data is protected.
- Get notified even when Finocket is closed — turn on push notifications from Profile → Notifications.
- Choose exactly what you're alerted about: invoices due or overdue, payments received, and a morning summary of what's outstanding.
- Add Finocket to your home screen to receive notifications on your phone.
- Your offline changes are safer: Finocket now asks your device to protect your queued work and cached pages from being cleared when space runs low.
- A new Offline sync panel shows your storage usage and whether your data is protected from eviction.
The developer API understands multiple companies — and What's New has moved into your account
If you run more than one company in Finocket, your API and integrations now keep them apart. Every API request works within one company: send an X-Company-Id header to pick which one, and all the clients, invoices, deals and CRM records you read or create stay inside it — one company's data never leaks into another's over the API. You can also pin an API key to a single company, so an integration built for one business can only ever touch that business's books. A single-company account needs to change nothing — everything keeps working exactly as before. Separately, What's New now lives inside your account (Profile → What's New) rather than on a public web page — the same plain-language timeline, just for signed-in users.
- Point any API request at a specific company with an X-Company-Id header — the clients, invoices, deals and tasks you read or create all stay inside that company.
- Pin an API key to one company, so an integration for a single business can never reach your other companies' data.
- The API now covers your whole business: companies, expenses, items, stock levels & valuation, sales and purchase orders, and trial-balance / profit-loss / balance-sheet reports — alongside the clients, invoices, payments and CRM it already had.
- A request that asks for a company you don't have access to is refused, and the whoami check now tells you which company you're working in and which ones the key can reach.
- See who did what and what your AI costs: a new Usage & activity screen shows your own actions, your whole workspace's activity, and this month's AI usage and cost broken down by person and feature.
- Bring your own AI keys: add your Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key at the company level (everyone shares it) or as a personal key just for you — stored encrypted, and your own-key usage is metered separately. No key set? Finocket's included AI is used, exactly as before.
- What's New has moved into your account — open it any time from Profile → What's New. It's no longer a public web page.
- Build a starter kit for your business type — retailer, distributor, manufacturer, services, CA, freelancer or personal — and share a free-trial link for any use-case that opens Finocket already set up.
- Make a branded QR code for free without signing up — pick your colours and logo, download it as PNG or SVG, and save it to your account when you sign up so the same code is waiting for you.
- Start focused and grow at your pace: come in through a QR or use-case link and Finocket sets you up with just those tools, then an "Explore modules" panel at the bottom of the sidebar lets you switch on anything else whenever you're ready.
- Try Finocket with no signup at all — explore a real workspace with sample data straight from the website, then sign up whenever you like and everything you made stays exactly where it is. (The free sandbox can't take real payments or send real messages until you sign up.)
- Dynamic QR codes that never expire: point one at anything, change where it goes later without reprinting, and watch every scan land as a tracked lead in your CRM — with scan counts and a by-device breakdown.
- Bring your own email sending: connect your own Resend or ZeptoMail account so campaigns and reminders go out from your domain and your billing — or keep using Finocket's included sending, unchanged.
- Bring your own WhatsApp and SMS too: connect Meta/360dialog for WhatsApp and MSG91/Fast2SMS/Twilio/Plivo for SMS, with India DLT and WhatsApp template rules checked before anything goes out — so your outreach runs on your own accounts.
- Your dynamic QR codes are on the developer API too: list, create and read scan analytics for them over the REST API and MCP, alongside everything else the API already covers.
- Nothing changes for a single-company account — your existing keys and integrations keep working unchanged.
Run more than one company, and the whole trading & making cycle: multi-company, full inventory with closing stock & COGS, manufacturing, orders, cost centres, annual GST and bank matching
A big inventory day. Switch on stock tracking for any product, give it an opening balance and a reorder level, and Finocket keeps a running stock ledger — every sale draws stock down automatically, credit notes add it back, and low-stock items flag before you run out. Each product carries a weighted-average cost so you can see what your stock is worth. For goods with a shelf life, track batches with expiry dates and get near-expiry alerts; if you store stock in more than one place, add godowns and transfer between them. And separately: bank reconciliation — import your bank statement as a CSV from any bank and Finocket suggests a match for each line against the payments and expenses you've already recorded. It's all modules under Books & tax, owner-controlled and read-only for anyone you've invited.
- Turn on stock tracking for a product, set an opening balance and a reorder level, and watch a live stock ledger — sales draw stock down automatically.
- Low-stock products flag on a new Inventory screen, so you reorder before you run out — with per-product and total stock value from a weighted-average cost.
- Track batches with expiry dates and get near-expiry alerts, and store stock across multiple godowns with transfers between them.
- Raise sales and purchase orders, track what's still open, and convert a completed order into an invoice or a bill in one tap.
- Turn on Manufacturing to build a bill of materials and record production runs — Finocket consumes the raw materials and adds the finished goods to stock automatically.
- Turn on Cost centres to tag invoices and expenses to a branch, project or team and read a profit & loss for each one.
- See a GSTR-9 annual summary — a full financial-year GST picture built from your invoices and expenses to prepare and cross-check before filing.
- Read your books like an analyst: financial ratios (profitability, liquidity, leverage, efficiency) and a budget-vs-actual report, both from your double-entry books.
- See the interest accruing on overdue customer invoices on the Outstanding screen — set a rate, and Finocket totals what you could charge on late payments.
- Import a bank statement as a CSV from any bank — Finocket reads the date, amount and narration whatever order the columns arrive in.
- Every statement line gets a suggested match against a payment or expense you've already recorded — confirm it in one tap, or see which lines aren't in your books yet.
Run a distributor's books: purchase bills & payables, credit limits, price lists, delivery challans, e-way bills and GSTR-2B — with Tally-ready export and financial statements
Finocket now runs the full trading cycle. Record purchase bills with due dates and see a payables ageing beside your receivables, with what you owe carried on your balance sheet. Set a credit limit per customer and a price list per party — the invoice screen warns you over the limit and fills in each customer's own rates. Raise delivery challans for goods on the move, generate an e-way bill for shipments over ₹50,000, and reconcile your purchases against GSTR-2B. All of this sits on top of the same day's books work: a Tally-ready export your CA imports straight into Tally Prime, the four financial statements built from your own records, and a permanent, un-switch-off-able edit log.
- Track what you owe suppliers: record purchase bills with due dates and age your payables by supplier, right beside your receivables.
- Set a credit limit per customer and a price list per party — the invoice warns you over the limit and fills in each customer's own rates.
- Raise a delivery challan, generate an e-way bill JSON for anything over ₹50,000, and reconcile your purchases against GSTR-2B.
- Hand your CA a Tally-ready export in one tap — masters and vouchers as a single XML they import straight into Tally Prime.
- See your financial statements built from your books — trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow — with a period you pick.
- Every edit or deletion of an invoice, payment or expense is now captured in a permanent edit log: who changed it, when, and the full before-image.
