Finocket has no direct reader for dedicated jewellery software, so you bring your lists across as spreadsheets through Another system. Finocket brings across the books, not the jewellery-specific facts (purity, per-piece weight, HUID, metal balances): set those up after the import.
Before you start
- Approve the jewellery setup first, so the item sheet carries purity, metal, tag number, making charge and wastage columns.
- Pick a cut-over date. Entries from that date on go into Finocket; your old software keeps what came before.
Bring the lists across, one at a time
- In your current software, export each list as CSV or Excel: parties first, then items.
- Open Another system, choose the kind of record and drop the file. The header row is found even under a title block, and blank rows are skipped.
- Map the columns on the next screen and read the dry run. Nothing is written until you confirm.
- For items, download the item sheet from the same screen and copy your purity, metal, making charge and wastage values into its columns before you import it.
- Then the chart of accounts and opening balances, and invoices, bills, payments and journals if you want history.
What comes across, and what does not
Groups, accounts, opening balances, parties, items, stock, assets, and invoices, bills, payments and journals. Not copied: formulas (only the values they show), merged cells and formatting, filed GST returns, IRNs and e-way bills, bank reconciliations and attached files. A HUID, per-piece weight and fineness, and metal balances by party are set up in Finocket after the import. See Import your data for the steps.
