Prospect companies are the businesses you are researching, kept apart from your customers. Each one holds the signals recorded about it: a hiring burst, a new office, a funding round, a leadership change, a news story, a technology it uses, or a sign of buying intent. Every signal keeps its source and the lawful basis it is held on.

What does a company page show?
The company’s legal name, country, tier, size, registration number, websites and other names; then its signals, newest observation first; then the contacts and deals of the CRM account that shares its website.

What was seen, when it was seen, where it came from (a link you can open), how it was collected, the lawful basis it is held on, and how sure the source is, from 0 to 100. A signal that names a person is marked so a request from that person can be found.
Why did a signal disappear?
A signal can carry an expiry date. After it, the signal leaves the current list, but it is never deleted: choose Show lapsed and history to see everything ever recorded, including a line that records the lapse. Nothing recorded here can be edited or removed, so a wrong signal lapses rather than being rewritten.
Why does it say there is no CRM account?
Contacts and deals come from the CRM account whose website domain matches one of the company’s. If no account has that domain, the page says so; it is not the same as an account with no deals. The match is read each time you open the page and is not saved.
What if the page says it isn’t set up?
That means prospect companies are not installed on this server yet. It is not an empty list, and nothing can be saved until it is. If a page says it couldn’t load, try again: the page does not guess that nothing is recorded.
For developers
Read companies and signals with the gtm:read scope and append a signal with gtm:write(REST under /v1/gtm/companies, and the MCP tools list_gtm_companies, get_gtm_company and record_gtm_signal). A LinkedIn source is accepted only through a licensed API, and a signal may not carry health, biometric, religion or other special-category data.
