Accounts — companies, not just contacts

Contacts and deals from the same company are grouped under one account automatically (from their business email domain), with a single view of that company's people, deals and history.

Accounts group the people and deals that belong to the same company, so you see one business — its contacts, open and won deals, and the whole timeline — instead of scattered records.

How are accounts created?

Automatically. When a lead arrives with a business email, Finocket reads the domain and files the lead under that company’s account — creating it if it’s new, and naming it from the domain (“acme-corp.co.in” becomes “Acme Corp”). Personal addresses like Gmail or Yahoo never create a company.

What does an account show?

The account page carries the company’s GSTIN, state, industry and annual revenue, everyone you know there, its deals (open, won and lost), and a single newest-first timeline of activity across all of them — so a second enquiry from the same company lands with full context, not as a stranger.

Frequently asked questions

Why didn't a Gmail lead create an account?

Personal mail domains (Gmail, Yahoo and the like) don't imply a company, so those leads stay individual contacts. Accounts are created from business email domains.

Can I edit what an account knows about the company?

The account's details (GSTIN, state, industry, annual revenue) display on the account page, and its people, deals and timeline roll up automatically as leads arrive.
