Tally, Busy, Marg and Vyapar all put one menu across the top of the screen, pack a lot into every row, and expect a keyboard that never leaves the desk. Finocket keeps all three habits - just arranged a little differently. Here is what moved where.
The top menu
Tally's Gateway, and Busy's and Marg's own menu bars, open every screen from one strip across the top rather than a list down the side. Finocket's own top menu does the same job: open your profile page, and under Preferences pick Top instead of Side. Your work then groups into tabs across the top - Books & tax, CRM & pipeline, Partners and the rest - each opening the screens that used to sit under Masters, Vouchers and Reports. Side is still there too, so pick whichever one suits you, per device.
Tighter rows
A Tally ledger or a Busy voucher list packs a screenful of rows with no space wasted. Finocket's tables run roomier by default, but the same Preferences section carries a Compact option that pulls every list and table - the Day Book, your client list, every report - back down closer to that row height. Nothing is hidden; the rows just sit closer together.
The keyboard
Letters are not bare keys here - hold Option on a Mac, or Alt and Shift on Windows and Linux, then the letter; a bare key used to fire while you were simply reading a report, so every one of them moved behind a modifier. ⌥P / Alt+Shift+P opens Add Payment, ⌥J / Alt+Shift+J opens Add Journal, and ⌥D / Alt+Shift+D opens the Day Book - same name Tally already uses. ⌘K / Ctrl+K opens the command palette from anywhere, the same reach as Tally's own Go To. The full list is on Keyboard shortcuts, and every Tally F-key's own equivalent is mapped on Coming from Tally?.
Bringing your books across
None of this moves your data - it only rearranges the screen. When you are ready to bring your ledgers, parties, stock and opening balances in, read Move your Tally books across, Bring your books across from Busy or Marg, or Bring your books across from Vyapar, myBillBook or Book Keeper.
