Khatabook is a ledger of who owes you and whom you owe. What you bring to Finocket is exactly that: your customers and suppliers, their phone numbers, and the balance each one stands at today. From there, Finocket keeps the same running balance, and adds GST invoices, stock and reminders.
Take your list out of Khatabook
In Khatabook, open the customer (or supplier) list and download the report. If your version offers Excel, use it. If it offers only a PDF, open the import screen, download the parties template, and copy each name, phone number and balance into it. For most shops that is one sitting.
Bring it in
Drop the sheet on Import from another system. Put what a customer owes you as a receivable opening balance, and what you owe a supplier as a payable one, both dated the day you switch. The dry run shows the total you are bringing in, so check it against Khatabook's own total before you import.
What changes after you switch
Every new sale can be a proper GST invoice or a bill of supply. A payment reminder is one tap from Outstanding: it opens WhatsApp with the amount, the invoice and its link. The balance you see on a party is worked out from the invoices and payments against it, not typed in, so it always adds up.
