While the vertical sites are in beta, each one still shows every feature page: modules, use cases, how it works, pricing (marked as draft), compare and the FAQ. What changes is who can create an account from it. A strip at the top of every page says the site is coming soon in beta mode and open for beta trials by invite only, with a Request an invite button.
Switching beta mode on
Beta mode follows one switch, NEXT_PUBLIC_VERTICAL_BETA_MODE. It is off by default, and while it is off nothing on the sites changes. The guest list it relies on has to be applied first. Until then the request form says the list is not open yet, and no invite can be approved, so turning the switch on early opens nothing.
Requesting an invite
The form asks for a name, a work email, a phone number, the business name, the city, the type of business and how the person heard about Finocket. They have to tick the consent box, and the request records which wording they agreed to. Asking twice keeps one request and counts the repeat. Either way the person sees the same thank-you, so the form cannot be used to find out who is already on the list.
The guest list
Beta invites lists every request, newest first. You can filter by vertical, export the list as CSV, and see how many requests each vertical has.
- Approve. Creates an invite code and shows it once. Only a fingerprint of the code is kept, so copy it before you close the box. Approving sends nothing. Tell the person yourself. Approving again replaces the code.
- Decline. Marks the request declined and stops any code already given.
- Note. Visible to admins only. A note never changes the decision.
Signing up during the beta
On a vertical site, Sign up with your invite leads to sign-up. There the person either uses the email address you approved or types the code. Both are checked before the account is created. If the check cannot be made, sign-up is refused. Signing up with Google or Demystify ID is hidden on this path, because neither can be checked first. Sign-in is unchanged: an existing workspace is never asked for an invite.
The check covers sign-up that starts from a vertical site. The general Finocket sign-up page is not part of beta mode.
