Automations are paid for in credits, and one credit is ₹1, every time, in every pack. So when you read that something costs 9 credits, you have already read the price in rupees and there is no second sum to do.
The one number worth remembering
A typical run costs about ₹0.29. From that, everything else follows:
- A daily automation is about ₹8.70 a month. One run a day, thirty days, at about twenty-nine paise each.
- A weekly one is about ₹1.25 a month.
- A ₹500 pack of credits buys roughly 1,700 runs, enough to keep four or five daily automations going for the best part of a year.
Every automation shows you its own monthly figure on the screen where you switch it on, worked out from the timing you chose. You are never asked to agree to a cost you have not been shown first.
Credit packs
Packs come in 500, 2,000, 5,000 and 20,000 credits, at ₹1 a credit (₹500, ₹2,000, ₹5,000 and ₹20,000).
There is no volume discount. If a bigger pack made a credit cheaper, a credit would stop being worth a rupee and you could no longer read a price off the screen; you would have to know which pack you bought before you knew what a run cost you. Buy the pack that suits your cash flow.
The bigger packs exist so you top up less often, not so you pay less. If you are not sure, start at ₹500.
Most runs are quiet, and quiet runs are free
An automation does not start by asking the AI anything. It starts with a plain look at your own books: is there an invoice that went overdue yesterday? has any item dropped below its reorder level? That look costs nothing at all. It is your own data, on our machines, and it is not billed.
Only when that look finds something does the run go on to the AI, to read what it found and write it up for you. So on a day when nothing has gone wrong, the automation runs, finds nothing, records that it found nothing, and costs you nothing. For a watching automation (overdue invoices, low stock, figures that stop agreeing), that is most days.
Where the honest figure sits
Budget on the full figure, not the quiet one. The ₹8.70 a month above assumes every run reaches the AI. Many will not, and your bill will usually be smaller. But in a month where a lot goes wrong, most runs will reach the AI, so budget for that month.
Some automations reach the AI every single time by their nature. A daily briefing always has a day to summarise, so there is no quiet run to be had; it costs its full monthly figure whether or not it tells you anything you did not already know.
An automation that never catches anything still costs you its monthly figure. You are paying for the watching. That is often a fair trade, in the way a smoke alarm earns its keep by never going off. But an automation you have run for six months that has not once surfaced something you acted on is worth switching off rather than leaving to tick along, and Activity will tell you which ones those are.
Bring your own AI key and pay us nothing
If you already have an account with an AI provider, you can attach your own key and automations will run on it. Then they cost you nothing from us: no credits are spent, and your provider bills you directly for what was used. See Bring your own AI keys.
Nothing else changes: the same automations, the same schedule, the same permissions, the same record in Activity. This is the right choice if you are running a lot of automations, or if your accounts are simpler with one AI bill instead of two.
Your own key changes the bill, not the plan. Attaching your key means you pay the AI provider instead of us for what a run reads and writes. It does not move your workspace onto the plan that runs agents on a timer. The key pays for the AI; the plan pays for the clock that wakes it up at seven every morning, the retry when your bank is slow, and the record of what it did.
Which plan runs agents
Automations that run on their own (on a timer, with nobody in the app) start at Growth. How many you can run at once goes up with the plan: three on Growth, six on Business, and ten on Suite and above. Everything else about them is on every plan: you can open the whole list, read what each one watches for, see its monthly figure, and set one up.
The count is a real limit, and no plan makes it unlimited. An agent wakes on a timer and spends a little of your AI credit whether or not it finds anything to tell you about, so “as many as you like” would be a bill rather than a feature. If you reach your number, switch one off or move up a plan. Nothing is deleted either way.
Nothing is switched off today. If your plan does not include agents, you will see a line saying so on the list and on each one you open, and everything still works while you decide, so you can run one for a fortnight and see what it is worth. If that ever changes, we will tell you before any automation stops.

Ceilings, and what happens at zero
Every agent carries a limit on what one run may spend and what it may spend in a month. If a run would go past either, it stops before the spending rather than after it, and says so.
If your balance reaches zero, agents pause and tell you why. They do not fail silently and they do not quietly keep running up a bill. Top up, and they pick up from their next scheduled time.
Credits spent on filing to a government portal (a GST return, an e-way bill, a GSTIN check) are priced separately and listed in Credits. They use the same credits, on a separate price list.
