You sell three tiles from a customer’s site with no signal. Finocket has your stock ledger on the device, and it says one. It records the sale anyway.
That is deliberate, and it is the only sensible answer. Stock on hand is not a number Finocket keeps and edits — it is the sum of everything that has moved in and out, worked out fresh each time. On a phone with no network that sum is only as complete as what the phone has seen: the delivery your colleague entered an hour ago in the shop has not reached it. Refusing the sale would mean telling a customer standing in front of you that they cannot buy something, on the word of a figure the app already knows may be out of date.
So what happens instead
The sale is recorded in full, and the shortfall is written down: which item, how much left, what the ledger said before it, where that left it, which document it came from, which day it happened, and which device recorded it. That entry is what you review here.
You reach it from Inventory & stock → Negative stock.
Reading one
Every entry opens with the sentence you need: 3 units of Ridge tiles sold on 14 Aug when stock showed 1. Under it are the three figures it is built from — what stock showed, what the movement took, and what it left. They cannot disagree with each other; Finocket stores all three and refuses any entry where the arithmetic does not hold.
The date is the day the sale actually happened, not the day it reached the server. That is the entire point: the sale was made in a basement on the 14th and synced on the 16th, and a queue that stamped it the 16th would hide the two days you most need to see.
What to do about one
Usually one of two things is true. Either stock did arrive and was entered late — in which case record the receipt, and the ledger comes right by itself. Or the sale was recorded against the wrong item, the wrong batch or the wrong godown — in which case correct the document it came from, on that document’s own screen, where the change is captured in the edit log.
Then mark the entry reviewed. You can add a note saying what you found; it is worth doing, because the next person to look — your accountant, at the end of the quarter — has no other way to know.
Why is the list empty?
Because nothing can put anything in it yet. The review queue is not switched on for any workspace, so the page says so in those words rather than showing you a reassuring zero. An empty list and a list that could not be read look identical, and only one of them is good news — and on this screen the wrong reassurance would sound like a statement about your stock rather than about the software.
Nothing is lost in the meantime. Sales you record without signal are still recorded in full, still sync, and still draw stock down on Inventory & stock, which is computed from your movement ledger and is correct whether or not anything is listed here. Entries stuck on their way to the server are a connection problem and live on Offline sync — a different thing entirely.
