Commission ledger
Commission that agrees with your books
An append-only commission ledger that accrues only on revenue you've actually collected — with holds and clawbacks handled as new rows, never edits.
What it solves
Pay commission on invoices raised and you end up clawing money back when clients don't pay or a sale is refunded — an awkward conversation and a broken spreadsheet. Accrue only on money you actually collected, and holds, releases and clawbacks stop being drama: they're just entries.
How we're different
Commissions here aren't a parallel spreadsheet that drifts from reality — they accrue against the same collected revenue your double-entry books record, with integer money maths that's property-tested. The ledger is immutable and idempotent: corrections are new rows, so the trail always reconciles.

Questions
When does a commission actually get recorded?
Only when the referred client's payment is collected. Accrual follows real money in, so you never owe commission on an invoice that was never paid — and if a payment reverses, a clawback row unwinds it cleanly.
Can I edit a wrong commission entry?
No — and that's the point. The ledger is append-only, so a correction is a new row rather than an edit. That keeps the history immutable and the totals reconcilable against your books.
