A US client is invoiced in dollars as an export invoice under LUT, with the INR rate recorded.

  1. Choose the export invoice type
  2. Pick USD and check the rate, or type the one your bank quoted
  3. Switch on Export under LUT; the tax on each line is cleared

  5. Email it or share a signed link with the client

Fixed-price SOW in milestones

A website build is billed 30/40/30 against the contract total, and the last tranche cannot push the total over.

  1. Raise the contract total as an estimate or sales order
  2. When a milestone completes, start an invoice against that parent
  3. Bill the tranche as a percent or a fixed amount
  4. Finocket stops a tranche that would exceed the total
  5. The last tranche bills the exact remainder

Month-end time and materials invoice

The team's billable hours for the month become invoice lines at each role's rate card.

  1. Developers track time against the client and project with the timer
  2. At month end, open the client's unbilled billable time
  3. Pick the entries; rate cards price each line
  4. Lines priced by a card carry the resource role
  5. Review the draft invoice and send it

AMC and support retainers

Annual maintenance and monthly support contracts are drafted on a recurring rule, ready to review and send.

  1. Set up the client and the contract lines
  2. Create a monthly or yearly recurring rule
  3. Each run drafts the invoice
  4. Each line carries the period it covers
  5. Review the draft and send it

Prepaid annual contract spread monthly

A client pays a year of support upfront, and you recognise the revenue month by month.

  1. Raise the annual invoice
  2. Defer it over the contract's months from the start month
  3. The schedule appears on the deferrals report
  4. Each month, Recognise due posts that month's share to revenue
  5. How the contract is recognised stays your CA's judgement

Partners paid for referred work

An agency that introduced a client earns commission on what that client pays.

  1. Set the commission policy and invite the agency as a partner
  2. Link the referred client to the partner on the client's page
  3. Commission accrues on the payments that client makes
  4. Build and finalise the month's partner statement
  5. The partner sees it in their portal; the payout stays with your CA

  1. Share the client's portal link from their ledger
  2. They accept or decline a waiting estimate
  3. They see open invoices and recent payments
  4. They download a statement of account for any period
  5. Convert an accepted estimate to an invoice in one click

TDS a corporate client kept back

Record the deduction with the payment, so the invoice closes and the TDS sits as a receivable.

  1. Record the payment against the invoice at the full invoice amount
  2. Turn on TDS and pick the section
  3. Check the suggested amount; the rate is yours to confirm
  4. The invoice closes as paid and the TDS is booked as receivable
