Use cases
How a working day runs, step by step.
Turn marketplace orders into GST invoices
Book marketplace sales as tax invoices without retyping them, with the tax split decided by the place of supply.
- Bring in orders through a connected channel or a CSV upload
- Tick the orders to book in the marketplace orders report
- Choose Convert to invoice
- Each invoice takes CGST and SGST or IGST from the buyer's state
- An order whose buyer state cannot be read is held back, not invoiced on a guess
- A converted order shows its invoice and cannot be converted twice
Compare your sales with marketplace settlements before you file
Compare the taxable value of your invoices with the gross each marketplace settled, operator by operator. The TCS an operator reported in GSTR-8 is not part of this check.
- Open GST reconciliation and pick the month
- Each marketplace gets a card with your invoices beside its settlements
- A card marked Diff shows where taxable value and settlement gross differ
- Convert the orders still unconverted, or take the gap up with the operator
- Save a snapshot of the month's comparison for your records
See each channel's settlements and payout
Read gross sales, TCS, commission, shipping fee and net payout for every settlement you have brought in, channel by channel.
- Bring in settlements through a connected channel or a settlement CSV
- Open the Settlements tab of the marketplace orders report
- Filter to one channel, or keep every connected channel
- Read gross, TCS, commission, shipping fee and net for each settlement period
- The Net payouts tile adds up the net of the rows shown
Upload Meesho and quick-commerce reports as CSV
Meesho, Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart sales come in from the CSV reports you download from each seller panel.
- Add the channel once under Integrations
- Download the orders or settlement report from the channel's seller panel
- Upload the CSV; Finocket reads which kind of report it is
- See how many orders, returns and settlements were read
- Uploading the same report again updates those rows instead of adding them twice
Keep listing particulars on each item
Record MRP, net quantity, the common or generic name, the manufacturer, packer or importer, and the country of origin on the item itself.
- Open an item in your catalogue, or create a new one
- Fill in MRP, net quantity and the common or generic name
- Add the manufacturer, packer or importer and the package weight in grams
- Set the two-letter country of origin
- These are the values you type: nothing checks them against your label or sends them to a marketplace
Keep stock in your godown and a marketplace warehouse
Hold stock by location, including a marketplace fulfilment warehouse kept as a location, and move it with transfers you record; nothing reads stock levels from the marketplace.
- Add each place you hold stock as a location on the stock screen
- Draft a stock transfer from your godown to the marketplace warehouse
- Send it: the stock leaves your godown and shows as on its way
- Receive it when the goods reach the warehouse
- See quantity and value per location in Stock by location
Work an online order from stock hold to dispatch
Each channel order is worked one step at a time, and its trail shows what happened and when.
- Open Online orders and read the order's lines from the channel
- Choose Hold the stock so the counter cannot sell the same goods
- An SKU not linked to one of your items is flagged, and nothing is reserved
- Send the order to the warehouse as a pick list
- Pick, pack with the parcel weight and dispatch on the warehouse screens
- Each step shows in the order's trail
Take back an online return and issue the credit note
A return comes back against the order's invoice, is inspected item by item, and posts a credit note that restocks only what you put back.
- Convert the order to an invoice first: the return is booked against it
- Choose Record a return on the order and pick the godown it comes back to
- Tap Parcel is back when it reaches you
- Inspect each item on the warehouse returns screen: restock, scrap or repair
- Choose Issue the credit note; only the items you restock go back into stock
