How a working day runs, step by step.

Bill a buyer for the day's lots

A munim raises one bill for everything a buyer took today, with lot, bags and weight on each line.

  1. Pick the distribution and wholesale setup once, for the wholesale bill layout
  2. Add Lot no., Bags and Net weight as line fields once, in your field settings
  3. Pick the buyer and add a line per lot
  4. Add hamali or other charges as charge lines with their own tax rate
  5. Share the bill on WhatsApp as a link

See what each buyer owes

The owner checks a buyer's outstanding before extending more credit.

  1. Open the outstanding list to see who owes what
  2. Open the buyer's statement for the running balance and ageing
  3. Send a WhatsApp reminder with the buyer's portal link
  4. The buyer sees open bills and their statement from the link
  5. Record each payment as it comes in

Hand the year's books to your CA

Your CA works from the same books instead of a bahi photocopy.

  1. Invite your CA with the accountant role
  2. Your CA reads ledgers, reports and GST returns but cannot change them
  3. Download the Tally XML on the Hand to your CA screen if your CA works in Tally
  4. Your CA imports the masters file first, then the vouchers

Send a load out with its papers

A truck leaves for a miller in another state. You generate the e-way bill on the portal; the bill carries its number and the truck details.

  1. Pick the distribution and wholesale setup once, which adds the dispatch fields
  2. Raise the sale bill
  3. Type the e-way bill number, vehicle and transporter
  4. They print in the dispatch details block of the bill
  5. Print the bill for the driver

Credit limit checked on each bill

A buyer who already owes a lot gets a warning on the bill before more goods go out on credit.

  1. Set a credit limit on the buyer
  2. Start a sale bill for that buyer
  3. The bill warns when open dues plus this bill cross the limit
  4. Decide whether to save the bill or ask for payment first

Agreed rates for regular buyers

Regular buyers get their agreed rate filled in on the bill instead of the list rate.

  1. Create a price list with your agreed rates
  2. Assign the price list to the buyer
  3. Add items to the buyer's bill
  4. Each line picks up the buyer's rate
  5. Items not on the list fall back to your catalogue rate

Purchases from farmers on record

Produce bought on your own account from a farmer is entered as a purchase bill. A patti with commission and hamali deductions is not built yet.

  1. Add the farmer as a supplier
  2. Open the farmer and choose Record purchase bill
  3. Enter the bill date, the amount and the due date
  4. Leave it unpaid until you settle
  5. See what you owe each farmer under payables

Bank passbook tallied against payments

The bank statement is matched to the payments you recorded, instead of ticking the passbook by hand.

  1. Import the bank statement as a CSV, Excel or PDF file
  2. Finocket suggests the recorded payment each line matches
  3. Confirm each match
  4. Create receipts for lines that have no payment yet
  5. Save a bank rule for entries that repeat

Godown stock in kg

Grain in the godown is kept in kg, item by item, and every issued sale bill draws it down.

  1. Add each commodity as an item sold in kg, with stock tracking on
  2. Add the stock you received from the inventory screen
  3. Stock falls when a sale bill is issued
  4. See how much of each commodity is left on the inventory screen

Your munim works in Hindi

The person at the yard uses the app in Hindi while you keep yours in English.

  1. Open the language switch
  2. Pick Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada or Odia
  3. Menus and forms show in that language
  4. The choice is saved to that person's own profile
