Finocket for Schools

Bill every fee on time, and keep the books your CA asks for

Monthly fee bills drafted for you to review and send, course fees split into instalments, and GST-ready books you can hand over in Tally format. Built for the office desk, not the classroom.

The problems we fix first

  1. Typing the same fee receipt for every student, every month

Today: A fee register in a notebook or spreadsheet and a receipt book filled in by hand at the desk

With Finocket: A recurring fee bill drafted on the same day every month for you to review and send, with the period covered printed on it (the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review, adds batch and enrolment number fields to fill on each bill)

  2. Not knowing who still owes this month's fee

Today: Ticking names in the register and phoning parents one by one

With Finocket: A dues view per bill and a payment link on every bill; reminder rules can be set up on the Business plan

  3. Course fees paid in instalments are tracked on paper

Today: A separate page per student listing what was paid and what is left

With Finocket: One bill for the course fee split into instalments, each with its own due date and payment

Built for

  • Private schools' fee and accounts office
  • Coaching and tuition centres
  • Test-preparation institutes
  • Skill and language training centres
  • Hobby, music and art classes
  • The accountant or CA who keeps an institute's books

What you get

  • Fee bills with the period covered

Every fee line says which month or term it pays for, so a parent and your accountant read the same thing.

  • Batch on every bill

Type the batch on the bill and filter collections by it. A batch is a label on the bill, not a timetable. This field comes with the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review.

  • Enrolment number

Match a payment to an admission by your own enrolment number instead of a name. This field comes with the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review.

  • Students under their guardian

Keep one record per student under the guardian who pays, with the batch and whether a guardian's consent has been noted. Finocket only notes it; it does not check or collect consent. This field comes with the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review.

  • Courses as items

Set each course up once as a service, marked classroom, online or hybrid. This field comes with the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review.

  • Course duration and instalments

Split a course fee into instalments on one bill, each with its own due date. Recording how long the course runs needs the course duration field. This field comes with the tuition and coaching setup, which sign-up suggests and you apply in Setup review.

  • Service-only bill layout

A layout for SAC service lines. Whether your fees are taxable or exempt is your and your CA's decision; nothing is preset.

  • Courses billed as services

New items default to services with no stock to track, which suits a fee.

  • Room for your accountant

Invite your accountant with an accountant role. It is offered, never forced.
