Finocket for Textile Mills

Cost your fabric from yarn to finished roll, and keep the GST books in the same app

For weaving mills and fabric traders in Surat, Bhiwandi, Ichalkaranji, Erode and Ludhiana. Record lot, shade and roll on every bill, book the process house's job-work bill with TDS, and send your CA the books.

The problems we fix first

  1. Nobody knows the true cost per metre or per saree

Today: Yarn rate, weaving cost and the process house's charge are added up on a calculator or an Excel sheet once a season.

With Finocket: A bill of materials per stage (yarn to grey to finished) with production runs. Each bill is costed from its components' standard costs; there is no automatic cost roll-up across stages.

  2. Yarn is bought in kg and cloth is sold in metres

Today: A paper conversion sheet or a munim's memory turns kg into metres for every lot.

With Finocket: Items default to metres on running length, with a second unit and conversion factor on the item.

  3. Lot, shade and roll details live in a register, not on the bill

Today: The lot and shade are written in a challan book and copied by hand onto the invoice.

With Finocket: Lot no., shade, roll or taka no. and pieces are fields on every bill line. They are typed, not linked across challan and run.

Built for

  • Weaving and composite mills that buy yarn in kg and sell fabric in metres
  • Grey and finished-fabric traders who send cloth out for dyeing and printing
  • Saree and dress-material makers who sell to traders through agents
  • Textile businesses whose CA wants clean GST and TDS records every month

What you get

  • Fabric details on every item

Fibre composition, count or denier, GSM, width in inches and design number sit on the item, so a quality is described the same way on every bill.

  • Yarn, grey and finished stages

Mark each item as yarn, grey, processed, finished goods or dyes and chemicals, and cost a finished quality from a bill of materials, one stage at a time.

  • Sell by the metre, buy by the kg

Items default to metres priced on running length, with a second unit and a conversion factor on the item for yarn bought in kg.

  • Lot, shade and roll on the bill

Type the lot number, shade, roll or taka number and pieces on each line of a bill or challan. These are recorded fields; they do not link a lot across challan, run and invoice.

  • Process-house bills with TDS

Book the dyeing, printing or finishing bill as an expense with the job-work challan number, process, metres processed and shrinkage, with TDS under section 194C (new Act s.393(1) 6(i)).

  • E-way bill, vehicle and transporter

Record the e-way bill number, vehicle number and transporter on the invoice, and print them in the dispatch block of the wholesale template.

  • Agent and grey challan on the invoice

Note the agent or broker and the grey challan number on each invoice. Agent commission is not calculated by the app yet.

  • Wholesale GST invoice

A wholesale invoice with taxable value, every GST head and a dispatch block, set as the default template.
