Questions about Finocket for textile mills and fabric traders

  1. Can I bill fabric in metres and buy yarn in kg?

Yes. Items default to metres priced on running length, and the item form has a second unit with a conversion factor, so yarn can be bought in kg on the same item.

  2. Does Finocket track a lot through dyeing and back?

Not yet. You can type the lot number, shade and roll or taka on each bill line, but nothing links a lot across the challan, the production run and the invoice.

  3. Can it prepare ITC-04 for my job work?

No. Delivery challans and the job-work e-way bill sub-type exist, but there is no job-work ledger, so ITC-04 cannot be prepared from it yet.

  4. I run a process house. Is this for me?

Not fully. Finocket has no model for a principal's grey fabric held as third-party stock or for per-metre job charges. You can raise GST invoices and keep books, but the job-worker side is not built.

  5. Does it handle loom and karigar wages?

No. HR and payroll, including piece-rate wages, belong to ashr.work. Finocket records the wage expense in the books.
