Set up Finocket for a clinic, travel agency or agency

Clients and patients first, then the person to reach at each, then invoices already raised, then recurring billing on autopilot - the onboarding order for a services business, never a stock count.

A clinic, a travel desk and a marketing agency look nothing alike day to day - but they share one shape: the business IS the client list, not a shelf of stock. This guide gets that list, its people and its outstanding invoices into Finocket first, so the first thing you see is real, not empty.

  1. Bring your clients or patients across

Start on the import screen with a spreadsheet, or a Zoho/Refrens export if that is where your list already lives - parties come across first, since everything else (contacts, invoices) is built against them.
  2. Add the actual person to reach at each client

A party is the billing entity; a contact is the person - the patient, the corporate HR contact, the client’s point of contact for the brief. Both come in from the same file - see contacts and deals.
  3. Carry over invoices already raised but not yet paid

Anything billed before cutover needs to land as an open invoice, or it stops ageing and stops sending reminders. See invoices and outstanding.
  4. Put repeat billing on autopilot

A retainer, a monthly package fee or an instalment plan does not need to be remembered - a recurring rule with the Invoice type drafts each cycle’s invoice on your numbering; you review and send it.
  5. Add products only if you actually bill them

A little retail stock at a clinic, a package add-on at a travel desk, ad spend passed through by an agency - list them if they exist, but they are optional here, not the starting point.
