Use cases
How a working day runs, step by step.
Morning rush at the counter
Three customers waiting, each with a handful of packets.
- Open the till on the phone or the counter PC
- Scan each packet with a barcode scanner
- Take cash, card or UPI, or split one bill between them
- Print the bill from the browser, or share it on WhatsApp when a customer is on the bill
Chasing udhaar without awkward calls
A regular has an amount pending from last month.
- Raise the bill on credit from the invoice screen
- Open Outstanding to see who owes what
- Send a one-tap WhatsApp reminder with a pay link
- Your customer opens the link, sees their open bills and pays the balance to your UPI ID
- Record the payment and it shows against the bill
Reorder before the shelf goes empty
Toor dal and sugar run out before the distributor's next visit.
- Set a reorder level on fast-moving items
- See items at or below their level on the low-stock list
- Turn the list into draft purchase orders, one per preferred supplier
- Review and confirm each draft on the Orders page; nothing is sent by itself
- Convert the order into a purchase bill when the goods arrive
Keep an eye on near-expiry stock
Biscuits, dairy and namkeen with a batch date.
- Record the batch number and expiry date when goods come in
- Check the Expiring soon list on the Inventory screen each week
- Each batch shows how many days are left, or that it has expired
- Record packets you take off the shelf as a stock adjustment
Close the day
Match the cash drawer before going home.
- Open the drawer on the till with the morning's float
- At closing, count the cash and close the drawer
- The Z report shows the day's sales by cash, card and UPI
- It works out over or short against the cash you counted
- The day's bills are already in the books your CA sees
Labelling dal you pack into bags
You bag loose toor dal yourself and want the till to scan it.
- Set up each pack size you pack as its own item
- Give each item a barcode or SKU on the item form
- Open shelf labels and pick the items and how many of each
- Choose EAN-13, UPC-A, Code128 or QR and print the label sheet from your browser
- Each label carries the item name, price and code, and scans at the till like any packet
Billing at the shelf price, GST included
Your shelf prices already include GST, so the customer pays the price on the shelf.
- Turn on Prices include GST on the till
- The setting is saved for the business, so every till and shift starts the same way
- Scan a packet and the line shows the shelf price
- The till divides the GST out of each line for the bill
Billing when the internet drops
The signal goes in the evening rush and the queue keeps moving.
- Keep ringing up bills on the till while offline
- Take cash, card or UPI as usual
- Loyalty points and vouchers wait until you are back online
- Bills are held on the device and sent in order when the connection returns
- Close the drawer once you are online, so the Z report counts every bill
Points for regular customers
A regular earns points on each bill and uses them later.
- Set how many points a bill earns, what a point is worth, a minimum bill and an expiry on the loyalty screen
- Add the regular as the customer on the till bill
- Points are added to their balance when the bill is saved; walk-in bills earn none
- On a later bill, pay part of it with points at the till
- Points cannot be used while the till is offline
