Finocket for Manufacturers

Know what each part costs, and where your material is.

Finocket gives a small factory its bills of materials, work orders, delivery challans, stock across godowns and GST-ready books in one place, so you can stop rebuilding the numbers in Excel at month end.

The problems we fix first

  1. Quoting a part without knowing what it really costs

Today: The owner works out material and machine cost on a calculator or in an old Excel sheet whenever a buyer sends a drawing.

With Finocket: Build a bill of materials per part and read the rolled-up standard cost per piece before you quote.

  2. Machine time is never charged to the job

Today: Hours on the lathe or VMC are noted on a register, if at all, and are not added to the job's cost.

With Finocket: Name work centres with an hourly rate and route each part through them, so time per step lands on the job.

  3. Work in progress is a guess at month end

Today: The supervisor counts half-finished parts on the floor and the accountant enters a round figure.

With Finocket: Work orders carry a WIP ledger from start to close, which nets to zero when the order is closed into finished stock.

Built for

  • Engineering job shops and fabrication units
  • Auto-component, plastics and moulding units
  • Garment, packaging and light-assembly units
  • Small and mid-sized factories that run production in Tally or Excel today
  • Owners, stores and dispatch staff, production supervisors and the CA who files for them

What you get

  • Bills of materials with a cost per piece

List the raw material, bought-out parts and consumables that go into each part, and Finocket rolls them up into a standard cost per piece you can quote from. Mark each item as raw material, semi-finished, finished, packing or capital goods.

  • Work centres and routing

Name your machines and work centres, give each an hourly rate, and route a part through them so machine time is charged to the job.

  • Work orders with a WIP ledger

Plan a work order, start it, book each step and close it into finished stock. Work in progress is tracked in a ledger that nets to zero when the order closes.

  • Delivery challans for job work

Send material to a job worker on a delivery challan and record its purpose, the nature of the work and the original challan number on the document. A custody register and ITC-04 rows are built, but off by default.

  • E-way bill details on dispatch

Keep the e-way bill number, vehicle number and transporter on the invoice or challan, and generate the e-way bill from the same document. The job-work reason code is not passed yet.

  • Batch or lot number on the sale

Print a batch or lot number against each line of the invoice so a customer can trace what they received.

  • Stock across godowns and plants

Hold raw material and finished stock in more than one godown, move it between them and see what is where. Work in progress is tracked as a value on each work order.

  • GST, books and your CA

GST invoices, GST return preparation, double-entry books and reports in the same workspace your CA can log in to.
