Questions about Finocket for printing and packaging presses
- Does Finocket estimate the cost of a print job for me?
No, Finocket does not cost a print job from sheet, plate, impression or wastage figures, and it has no carton or board estimator. You raise the estimate with your own figures, and the specification sits on each line.
- Will Finocket tell me whether a job is 9988, 9989 or a sale of goods?
No, Finocket does not decide whether a job is 9988, 9989 or a sale of goods. You record whether the paper was yours or the customer's, and your CA decides the classification and the rate; Finocket never picks a rate for you.
- Can I record the job's specification on the invoice?
Yes, the job's material, GSM, finished size, colours and finishing print on each invoice line. Job number, delivery date, proof approval date and 'Paper supplied by' are saved on the document record and do not print on the bill.
- Can my customer approve a proof online?
No, a customer cannot approve a proof online in Finocket today. The customer can accept an estimate online with a typed name, and you can note the proof approval date on the job, but there is no versioned proof approval.
- Does it handle job work and ITC-04?
Finocket covers part of job work: you can issue delivery challans and book a job worker's bill with TDS. For printing there is no job-work register and no ITC-04 return.
