What Marg ERP is great at
Marg ERP has real depth in inventory-led trades — pharmacy and FMCG distribution especially — with batch and expiry handling, scheme pricing and a long-standing dealer network. For an inventory-heavy counter business, that depth matters.
Pick Marg ERP if…
- You run a pharmacy or distribution business that lives on batch & expiry
- You need deep inventory schemes and rate structures today
- You have desktop operators doing volume data entry
Pick Finocket if…
- You bill services or projects, not batched stock
- You run the business from a phone, and entries you add with no signal queue and sync
- You want staff to capture by voice and camera, with every AI-assisted entry confirmed on a money preview and logged where nobody can edit it
- You want CRM, outreach and partner commissions with the books
- You want a read-only CA invite instead of backup files

Finocket vs Marg ERP — FAQ
Much better than before. Finocket now tracks batches with expiry dates, warns you about near-expiry stock, and handles multiple godowns with transfers — on top of a stock ledger, low-stock alerts and weighted-average valuation. What it doesn't do yet is pick a batch at the billing counter or run scheme pricing, which are Marg's home turf. For a high-volume pharmacy counter that bills batch-by-batch, Marg is still the specialist; for tracking batches, expiry and stock value, Finocket now holds its own.
Service businesses, consultants and small firms that run from a phone: invoices, GST and TDS, a pipeline of deals, follow-ups, and partner commissions — with a clean monthly handoff to the CA.
Nothing a camera or a microphone produces posts by itself. A scanned bill or a spoken invoice becomes a proposal on a confirm screen that shows the money moving — before and after, per bucket, in rupees, as a classification of the action's impact rather than a dry run of the exact voucher — and a human commits it; a scanned purchase order lands as a draft someone has to promote. You set the ceiling on what the assistant may propose, in rupees and in how many people a message can reach, and raising it never removes that confirm. Every confirmed action then lands in an append-only log the database will not let anyone edit or delete, each row hashed against the one before it, so you can see who did what — a log separate from the edit log on your books. Voice works in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada — accuracy in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada is marked limited in the app itself, and typing is always offered beside it.
No. There's no automated Marg import, and you don't need one: record new work in Finocket from today, keep your ERP history where it is, and let your CA reconcile from the export.
