Connect a courier once and Finocket books your parcels with them, keeps the tracking number against the invoice, and follows the parcel until it is delivered. With your own courier account, your rates stay whatever you negotiated. If you have no courier account yet, you can ship on Finocket's own account with any courier the platform has set up — the button appears under “Add a courier” only when one exists.

Shipping on Finocket's account
Choose Use Finocket's account for a courier, give the connection a name and a pickup pincode, and book as usual. Your connection stores no key at all — only a note that it rides the platform's account — so if the platform rotates its key, your bookings follow, and if the platform removes that account, a booking tells you so in a sentence rather than failing at the carrier. Connect your own account whenever you have one; a connection is one or the other.
Which courier should I connect?
Two of the three you can set up entirely on your own. The third needs a conversation first.
- Shiprocket — an aggregator: one account gives you Delhivery, Blue Dart, Xpressbees, Ecom Express and others, and it picks between them per parcel. Best if you ship moderate volume and do not want to negotiate with carriers individually. You can sign up and get an API key the same day.
- Delhivery — direct with one of India's largest carriers. Better rates than an aggregator once your volume justifies a direct contract. The API token comes from your own Delhivery panel.
- Blue Dart — direct, and the one to pick for time-definite and premium deliveries. It needs a commercial account with Blue Dart first; the keys are issued to you, not generated by you.
Where do I get the keys?
Each courier names its credentials differently, and two of them issue them from two separate places. The connect screen labels every box with exactly where to find it, but here it is in one table:
| Courier | What you need | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Shiprocket | Your API-user email and password | Shiprocket panel, under its own Settings menu: API, then Configure. Create a separate API user — not your login. Shiprocket rejects the account you sign in with. |
| Delhivery | API token, and your pickup location name | Delhivery One, under its own Settings menu: API Setup. The pickup location name must match a warehouse you have already registered with them, character for character. |
| Blue Dart | ClientID and Client Secret, plus LoginID, Licence Key and Customer Code | Two places. The ClientID and secret come from the DHL developer portal (Blue Dart is DHL's India business). The LoginID, Licence Key and Customer Code come from your Blue Dart account manager by email. |
What happens when I connect one?
Your keys are checked against the courier before anything is saved. If the courier rejects them, nothing is stored and you are told what it said — a typo fails here rather than at a loading bay on a Friday evening. Once saved, the keys are encrypted; they are never shown again and never leave Finocket except to that courier.
You are also asked for your pickup pincode. It is not optional: no Indian courier will quote a rate or confirm serviceability without knowing where the parcel starts.
What if I disconnect a courier?
Parcels already on their way keep their tracking numbers and keep saying who is carrying them. Disconnecting stops new bookings; it does not rewrite history, and Finocket never deletes a shipment record.
Why is my courier not in the list?
The list is deliberately short — three carriers that between them cover most of what Indian sellers ship, one of which is an aggregator carrying a dozen more behind it. If you ship internationally, note that DHL Express is a different service from Blue Dart and is not connected here; tell us if you need it.
