Day Book, Cashbook and Outstanding

Three books you open every morning to check the state of your business: Day Book, Cashbook, Outstanding. Finocket models them after the Tally screens accountants already know.

Day Book (J)

Every voucher — payment, expense, invoice, visit — in one chronological feed. Filter by date range and voucher type. Long-press a row for quick actions (edit, delete, duplicate). Pull down to refresh. Great for a morning "what happened yesterday" scan.

Export the Day Book as a PDF from the header — clean, accountant-ready, running balance included.

Cashbook

Payments grouped by how they were paid — Cash, UPI, Bank Transfer, Cheque, or All together. Useful for reconciling against your bank statement (until proper bank import lands) and for spotting oddities like "Why did we get so many cheques this month?"

Outstanding (O)

Every unpaid invoice grouped into ageing buckets: 0-30 days, 31-60, 61-90, 90+. Tap a bucket to see the invoices; long-press an invoice for quick actions includingRemind via WhatsApp — opens the WhatsApp share sheet with the invoice PDF and a polite reminder message pre-filled.

The header shows total outstanding across all buckets. Set filters for a specific client, project or currency. Export as a PDF for your CA.

Client Ledger

For any client, tap their name → Ledger. Chronological list of every invoice and payment against them with a running debit/credit balance. Every entry links back to the underlying voucher. Statement of Account (SoA) PDF from the header — the CA format, one row per invoice + payment, with total outstanding at the bottom.

Reports → All Reports (R)

A tree of every report Finocket generates, grouped by category (Financial, GST, Marketplaces, Productivity). Star reports as favourites, and Finocket shows you which reports you last opened.
