Inventory & stock
Stock that values itself as you sell
A live stock ledger with weighted-average COGS (opt-in FIFO or per-unit serials per item), low-stock alerts, batch & expiry tracking, multiple godowns and landed costs — sales draw stock down automatically.
What it solves
Knowing what's in stock and what it's worth usually means a separate inventory app that never talks to your books. Finocket keeps a running ledger that values itself: every sale draws stock down at weighted-average cost, purchases add it back, credit notes return it, and your balance sheet carries Closing Stock while your P&L shows COGS and gross profit — all from the invoices you already raise.
How we're different
There's no e-commerce lock-in — it's inventory as pure finance, whether you sell from a shop, a warehouse or a workshop. And it's honest about value: each product carries a weighted-average cost so per-product and total stock value are always current, and the Closing Stock / COGS overlay you toggle always keeps the balance sheet balanced.

Landed costs on purchases
Add freight, duty or clearing on a purchase bill and it's apportioned across the received stock lines by value or quantity (to the paise, remainder on the largest line) and pushed onto their cost layers — so your FIFO or weighted-average valuation reflects true landed cost, not just the invoice price.
Folds into your final accounts
Closing Stock on the balance sheet and COGS with gross profit on the P&L, at weighted-average cost — a presentation overlay you can toggle that always keeps the sheet balanced.

Questions
Does selling update my stock?
Yes — every sale on an invoice draws stock down automatically at weighted-average cost, purchases add it back, and credit notes return it, so per-product and total stock value stay current.
Can I track batches, expiry and multiple locations?
Yes — track batches with expiry dates and 'Expiring soon' alerts, and store stock across multiple godowns with transfers recorded as matched pairs so your total on hand never changes.
Do I need an e-commerce platform?
No — it's inventory as pure finance, with no storefront lock-in. Closing Stock and COGS fold straight into your balance sheet and P&L.
Can I use FIFO or serial numbers?
Yes, opt-in per item — weighted-average stays the default, but you can switch on FIFO cost layers or per-unit serial tracking for any item that needs it, and a serial can never sell twice. You can also add landed costs like freight and duty onto a purchase bill so valuation reflects true landed cost.
Learn how it works
Inventory & stock — track what you have on hand
Turn on stock tracking for a product to get a running stock ledger: sales draw stock down automatically, low-stock items flag, and you record what you receive.
Document templates and the look of your invoices
Choose one of thirteen templates from a live preview — bill of material, retail bill, services, jewellery, pharmacy, works contract, export, quotation and more — then tune colours, columns, words, a cover page and a signature. Terms and notes are rich text.
Clients, projects and invoices
Add clients with GSTIN + state auto-fill. Send invoices — tax invoice, bill of supply, export invoice, receipt or credit note — start from an estimate, or split an invoice into a deposit + milestone schedule.
