Retail till & shops
A keyboard-first till that closes the day with a Z-report
Ring up a counter sale by scan or search, split the tender across cash, card, UPI, voucher and points, park a bill, take a return as a credit note, and close each register with a Z-report that shows the over/short — in the same books as your invoices, across every shop you register.
What it solves
A counter runs on routines — open the drawer, sell, park a bill, take a return, close and count — and most billing software makes each one a separate re-key into the books. Finocket's till writes the invoice and the payment for you: stock draws down at that shop, CGST and SGST split from each item's rate, the sale lands in GSTR-1 as B2C, and the day closes against a counted drawer rather than a guess.
How we're different
The till is not a silo bolted onto an accounting app. Every sale is a proper invoice numbered from that counter's own series, every return is a credit note at the original bill's tax split, and every shop points at its own godown so per-shop stock stays right. Finocket records what you collect — there is no card reader, no printer and no payout on the screen — and it says so rather than pretending.

Offers and gift vouchers at the counter
Write an offer once — a percentage with a ceiling, a flat amount, or buy X get Y with the cheapest items free — and the till applies it, records which offer did it, and computes tax on what was actually charged. Gift vouchers are issued in batches and taken as a tender; the balance is a ledger, so a ₹500 voucher spent twice is refused, and one past its expiry is refused with the date.
Keyboard first
F2 jumps to the scan box, F9 takes cash, F4 splits the bill, F6 parks it and Esc clears the entry — a busy till never needs the mouse. The hints sit under the cart on a desktop and are hidden on a phone.

Questions
Does the till collect the money?
No. There is no card reader, no printer and no payout on this screen. Money reaches you through your own UPI or your own till, exactly as it does today, and Finocket writes down what you tell it happened. When you tap Confirm payment received on a UPI sale, you are telling Finocket it did — check your own UPI app first.
What happens to a parked bill if the customer walks out?
Nothing — parking does not create an invoice. Your invoice numbers have to run in an unbroken sequence for GST, and if parking used one up, every customer who changed their mind would leave a gap that looks to an auditor like a missing bill. Nothing is invoiced until the sale is actually paid.
Can a return be refunded twice by mistake?
No. Every credit note already issued against the bill is counted first, so you cannot return more than was sold, and a second tap on a busy counter is refused rather than refunded twice. The tax reversed is derived from the original bill, so a mis-set terminal cannot turn an in-state sale into an inter-state reversal.
What does a second shop cost?
Every plan includes one shop. Each shop after that is ₹5,000 a month, or ₹50,000 a year paid upfront, plus GST — no charge per till and no charge per person, so a shop can have as many staff as it needs. A workspace that reaches its shop count is told the price the moment it tries to add one.
Can I copy an existing shop to open the next one?
Through the API, yes: name the shop to copy and the new one gets the same kind, region and opening hours, a bill series of its own starting at 1, and the same number of tills. It deliberately does not inherit the godown, the UPI ID and payee, stock, staff or access, and the result lists what it skipped. The Shops screen does not offer the copy yet.

Retail on Finocket — where to start
A map of the retail pieces and the order to set them up in: products, shops, stock, the till, then offers, loyalty and couriers. Plus the three decisions that cost the most to get wrong.
Point of sale — run a counter till
Ring up a counter sale, take cash or show a UPI QR, and Finocket writes the invoice and payment, draws stock down and numbers the bill from that terminal's series. It records what you collect; it never collects it.
Inventory & stock — track what you have on hand
Turn on stock tracking for a product to get a running stock ledger: sales draw stock down automatically, low-stock items flag, and you record what you receive.
